I notice that you now need legal size paper to announce the annual meeting. This, I presume, is commensurate with the number of annual gatherings the Chairman has hosted. The hope here is that a full ream of paper will eventually be needed and that the Chairman doesn’t run out of ideas for future meetings before we run out of trees from which to make said paper. One discordant note in this year’s announcement: the spelling of the site of the gathering. Are we going to Sinalunga and is Signor Cassellini from the neighboring village of Sinaluga, which leads to yet another question: since Sinalunga and Sinaluga have been at each others throats for centuries, should we, perhaps, be thinking of hiring
protection from another village. Just asking…

Dear Mr. Chairman,
In lieu of the fact that the Grande Bretagne Hotel on Syntagma Square is now offering half-price specials, may I suggest that at least part of the meeting be hosted there. You may have to step around camped-out protesters, but that’s part of the challenge of traveling, isn’t it!? Tell the Captain that Athens is only a two hour flight from Rome, so it may be an interesting place to hold the finale, being so close to the Olympic Stadium and all. Maybe we can recycle the finale from the Special Olympics (Odysseas’ voyage) that was just held at the Kalimarmara Stadium about a kilometer or two from the hotel (bring comfy shoes). Don’t expect any taxi service..they’re on strike.
